Haw Creek
November 6, 2005

After spending 17 hours Saturday in airports and planes to get from Rochester to Fort Smith, I was even more determined to follow through with plans to spend Sunday in the woods. Cliff, Grant, Joey and I crammed into the truck and headed for the Ozark National Forest northeast of Clarksville. Our first stop was where Highway 123 crosses Haw Creek. Small streams are a good place to go when the boys are with me, because they always find plenty of things to do and don’t mind if I spend 20 minutes or longer in one spot taking pictures. Grant  “accidentally” fell in the creek and wound up soaked from head to toe, but I always bring a change of clothing for them (and me). After an hour of us all roaming around the creek, we drove to Kings Bluff.
