Hudson Shelter
October 26, 2003

Hudson Shelter is another amazing place in the Ozarks that probably we would have never known about if not for Tim Ernst. He mentions it in his Arkansas Waterfalls guidebook.
Well, right now the woods and the waterfalls are about as dry as can be, but that didn't stop Charles, Cliff and I from driving up to see this place.
The scale of everything here is immense. There's somebody in every one of my pictures, but just look how small they are!
Cliff found many ways of keeping himself entertained. In the picture at the top of the page, you can see a cloud of dust from where Cliff was picking up piles of dirt formed from doodlebug pits and throwing it in the air. Now that's entertainment! Right before we left he found a big rock slab covered with leaves that made a great slide.
